Mariduena stated, “Yeah I’ve had the opportunity to speak with them.“. “They are so happy for our project, and excited to start what will eventually become the new DCU. With this movie, we really wanted to highlight Jaime’s and the Reyes’ family’s stories. I’m looking forward to seeing what they have planned and how Blue Beetle, his family and the rest might be incorporated into the rest. But I’m already so satisfied with this movie. I’m excited to have kids around the world say, “Oh my god, this guy looks just like me.” I can be a hero, too.’
