Beetlejuice 2 was in development hell for decades. Jonathan Gems, a writer hired in 1990 to write a sequel to Beetlejuice goes Hawaiian, was hired. Burton considered having Daniel Waters revise that script. Pamela Norris rewrote it. Warner Bros. gave Kevin Smith the opportunity to do a second rewrite. He declined. Seth Grahame Smith was hired in 2011 to write and produce a revised version of a follow-up. In 2017, Mike Vukadinovich rewrote his script. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Michael Keaton will reprise his role as the titular ghoul. And yes, of course, Michael Keaton is reprising the role of the titular ghoul.

We’ve also heard a rumor that Jean-Claude Van Damme might show up in the movie as a ghost, but that has never been confirmed.Written by Michael McDowell and Warren Skaaren from a story McDowell crafted with Larry Wilson, the original Beetlejuice

has the following synopsis: What’s a yuppie ghost couple to do when their quaint New England home is overrun by trendy New Yorkers? The original Beetlejuice

has the following synopsis:

What’s a yuppie ghost couple to do when their quaint New England home is overrun by trendy New Yorkers? Everyone gets more than they bargained for. Tim Burton and Michael Keaton team up. The result? The Village Voice: “Keaton’s Beetlejuice has one of the largest, baddest wolves ever seen in a ghost film, a poltergas.” He’s a juggernaut full of jokes and jive. He throws one-liners and spins into grotesque shapes, eats insects, and won’t leave any lady alone. Exorcise yourself of your right to have fun. Say the “B” word three times to have a great Day-O. Beetlejuice is headed for a September 6 2024 release. Are you excited for the movie and are you happy to see Winona in the role as Lydia Deetz again? Leave a comment to let us know!
