Prime Video has unveiled a teaser trailer for the twisted love story series Wilderness, starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen

Prime Video has unveiled a teaser trailer for their upcoming series Wilderness, which has been described as a “twisted love story” and stars Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Invisible Man). You can watch it in the embed above. Along with this trailer comes the announcement that Wilderness will premiere on the Prime Video streaming service on September 15th.

Written and created by Marnie Dickens, Wilderness is based on a novel by B.E. Jones (you can get a copy HERE). The story revolves around British couples Liv (Coleman), and Will (Jackson Cohen) who seem to be having it all. They have a rock-solid relationship, a glamorous life in New York, thousands of miles away from their provincial hometown and are still young enough to believe that they have their entire lives ahead of them. Liv is unaware of Will’s affair until she finds out. Heartbreak is quickly followed by another emotion, fury. Revenge is her only option, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, Liv knows just how to get it… Wilderness is a twisted love story, where a dream holiday and a supposedly “happily-ever-after” quickly turns into a living nightmare.

Coleman and Jackson-Cohen are joined in the cast by Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars), Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Claire Rushbrook (Sherwood), Marsha Stephanie Blake (Orange Is the New Black), Morgana Van Peebles (Superstition), Jonathan Keltz (Reign), Talia Balsam (Divorce), Crystal Balint (The Fall of the House of Usher), Natalie Sharp (The Flash), Geoff Gustafson (A Christmas Proposal), and Jake Foy (Designated Survivor).

Taylor Swift fans have been excited to hear that her re-recording of the song “Look What You Made Me Do” is featured in the teaser trailer. Prime Video even provided an explanation (via Collider) for why they felt the song was a perfect match for Wilderness: “Liv becomes the actress starring in Will’s bad dreams after she learns about his betrayal, and her heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. The couple embarks on a road trip Liv has dreamed about since she was a child, from the Grand Canyon to Yosemite and ending with a hedonistic Las Vegas weekend. Will sees it as a chance to atone for his past mistakes; Liv sees it as a place where accidents are commonplace. The perfect place to exact revenge. Look what he made her do

So Yong Kim (Lovesong) directed and executive produced Wilderness. Dickens also executive produced the series, as did Elizabeth Kilgarriff.
