While Michael Bay delivered an all-out assault on the senses for over two hours with his Transformers movies, Beasts will run briskly.
The seventh entry in the Transformers series is upon us. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is aiming to expand on the brand’s lore and is looking to give us the first all-out robot war outside of Cybertron. Rise of the Beasts is helmed by Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. and follows the events of Travis Knight’s Bumblebee. There is still confusion about whether the continuity of the Michael Bay films remains the same. Although, it has been said that the studio truly considers Bumblebee to be a reboot, so despite this film taking place in the 90s, it’s likely it will not lead into the 2005 original.
When Michael Bay capped off his run with Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: The Last Knight, he delivered possibly his biggest endurance test on the senses with the most chaotic action clocking in at over two and a half hours with both. Collider has now confirmed the runtime of Rise Of The Beasts which will be running a brisk pace at one hour and fifty seven minutes. Bay’s first entry in 2005 was just over two hours long and he continued to push the limit with each new film. However,
Bumblebee, which saw the Autobot make friends with a new character, Charlie, played by the delectable Hailee Steinfeld, would actually come in at three minutes shy of Rise of the Beasts. The story of Bumblebee was meant to be a more low-key one, without the usual warring between Transformers.
