AMC has unveiled a promo for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the next spin-off following The Walking Dead: Dead City

The June 18th premiere of AMC’s Walking Dead spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City, which follows the characters of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is nearly upon us… and in the build-up to that premiere, AMC has gone ahead and shared a short promo for the next spin-off in line, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – a show that, as the title gives away, focuses on the Daryl Dixon character played by Norman Reedus. The short ad is at the bottom of the article.

The Walking Dead : Daryl Dixon‘s synopsis reads: Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, washes up on the French coast and struggles to understand how and why he ended up there. The series follows his journey through a France that is broken but resilient as he tries to find a path back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.

Showrunner David Zabel serves as executive producer alongside Reedus, Scott M. Gimple, Angela Kang, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, and Daniel Percival. AMC Studios is producing. The first season of the series will consist of six episodes and is expected to start airing on AMC and AMC+ sometime by the end of 2023.

Reedus is joined in the cast by Anne Charrier (The Last Deadly Mission), Eriq Ebanouey (Fox Hunt), Laika Blanc Francard (My Night), newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, and Romain Levi (The Tunnel). All of these actors are “series regulars”, but we only know their names. Charrier plays Genet, Ebanouey plays Fallou, Blanc Francard, Sylvie, Levi, and Puech scigliuzzi, Laurent. We know a bit more about characters being played by Clemence Poesy (Tenet) and Adam Nagaitis (The Terror). Poesy is playing Isabelle, “a member of a progressive religious group, who joins forces with Daryl (Reedus) on a journey across France and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris.” The character Nagaitis is playing is Quinn, “a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.”

Beyond The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, there’s another spin-off called The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne to look forward to. This is expected to be a short-lived series. Which
