The ’80s Horror Memories docuseries enters 1981 with slashers The Funhouse, The Burning, Friday the 13th Part 2, and My Bloody Valentine

Last month, JoBlo.com launched a new weekly documentary series called 80s Horror Memories, and the first five episodes of the series were all dedicated to film that were released in 1980: Maniac, Dressed to Kill, Alligator, Friday the 13th, The Shining, Prom Night, and The Fog. Episode 6 takes us into 1981, which is known as the slasher craze. Since slashers is my favorite horror subgenre, ’81 was an amazing year. The YouTube channel JoBlo Horror Originals will release new episodes of 80s Horror Memories every Monday. Here’s some info about 80s Horror Memories :

It has been over 40 years since the decade that shaped horror movie industry started. Having lived through those years myself, we at JoBlo/Arrow In The Head decided to create a 10 part documentary series that not only covers every nook and crevice of the biggest horror themes between 1980 and 1989 but also what happened in the world at that time. We didn’t have a killer that would stand the test of time, but we did have a few notables which were not given the credit they deserved.
