A trailer has been released for the dark comedy crime thriller The Kill Room, starring Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Maya Hawke
The Kill Room, a dark comedy crime thriller from director Nicol Paone, is set to reach theatres on September 29th, courtesy of Shout! The trailer for the film is now online, and it’s less than two months until that date! You can check it out in the embed above.
Scripted by Jonathan Jacobson, The Kill Room has the following synopsis: Patrice Capullo has a big problem: her art gallery isn’t making money. Gordon has a bigger problem. While arranging hits for mobs is lucrative, Gordon and his “colleague Reggie” need a better method to launder money. The art world meets the underworld through a chance encounter with Patrice’s drug seller. A plan is hatched. Patrice has a problem: she needs something to sell. Reggie taps his inner artist to create a painting that immediately “sells” at an incredibly high cost. When the noteworthy price for this new mystery artist accidentally leaks, the art career of “The Bagman” is born, attracting attention and press, something his superiors in the underworld are very unhappy with.
Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) stars as Patrice, with Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) as Gordon and Joe Manganiello (True Blood) as Reggie. Also in the cast are Debi Mazar (The Pentaverate), Dree Hemingway (Jill), Amy Keum (Honor Society), Candy Buckley (Treme) Larry Pine (The French Dispatch), Jennifer Kim (The Dark End of the Street), Matthew Maher (Air), Alexander Sokovikov (House of Cards), and Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke (Stranger Things).
Thurman and Paone produced the film alongside Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Anne Clements, William Rosenfeld, Bill Kenwright, Dannielle Thomas, and Jason Weinberg. This is the second feature directorial effort from comedian/actress Nicol Paone, who made her debut with the 2020 comedy Friendsgiving.
What did you think of the trailer for The Kill Room? This looks like a movie that you would enjoy. I was sold on this movie as soon as i saw the cast. I will watch
The Kill Room in the future.
