Any TMNT fan is going to have a blast with this movie as it provides references to the past while still carving itself a new identity.
PLOT: Follows the Turtle brothers as they work to earn the love of New York City while facing down an army of mutants.
REVIEW: I count myself as a massive fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. While I didn’t like the Michael Bay films, I have always enjoyed the turtle action. The fact that this film does the right thing by focusing on the titular characters instead of April O’Neil is already a huge win in my book. This is what I look for in a turtle film, and Teenage Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem delivers. While there is a certain amount of origin story, the film aims to introduce the public to the gang of green teenagers rather than treading on old ground. This is already a huge improvement over the usual near-30-somethings. They feel like teenagers, but without being annoying. The writing and voice acting for each of these teens is spot on. They’re not the fully-formed versions we’ve seen before, so they’re still developing those traits that will become staples of the characters ie. Leo’s leadership is a great example. Her connection with the Turtles is beautifully done. Her connection with Turtles is beautifully handled.
My favourite arc in the story is Jackie Chan’s Master Splinter. In previous iterations, he was portrayed as a wise old man that would crack jokes from time to time. Here they can put him in a place that is interesting and allows him to develop as a character. They finally acknowledge Splinter’s inability to always know what is best for the boys. I liked how much he saw himself in Superfly, Ice Cube. He sounds like he is having a great time in the role. It’s not surprising that there are so many hilarious side characters when you look at the supporting actors. Paul Rudd, John Cena and Natasia Demetriou voice a variety of mutants. This allows for forgotten moments to be remembered. It’s easy for me to compare the animation with that of

, but I think the film does a good job of distinguishing itself from those films. Mutant mayhem has a beautiful animation. You could use nearly every shot as a screensaver. A getaway sequence is a real highlight. The writers have crammed the film with references to past Turtles films. If you’re not a Turtles fan, then you might not enjoy these moments as much. I would say that the film is funny throughout. The majority of children at the screening I attended seemed to be disinterested by the film. It was alarming that many of the children in the screening I attended seemed to be uninterested in the film. As a Turtles fan who is in his 30s, I laughed and had a great time. I can’t see where they take this and what characters they add. All I know is that I’m ready for more Turtles!TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM will be
