Director Paco Plaza’s Sister Death, a prequel to his horror film Veronica, reaches the Netflix streaming service this October

Five years ago, [REC] franchise co-creator Paco Plaza’s horror movie Veronica was released through the Netflix streaming service, and Netflix subscribers reportedly found the film to be so terrifying that they would have to stop the movie mid-stream because they couldn’t handle the scariness. It’s not surprising that Plaza and Netflix decided to turn the concept into a series with a prequel entitled Sister death0100 Now the streaming service’s Tudum site has revealed that Sister Death will be released this October! The exact release date has not been revealed yet, but we’re glad to know that this movie will be available for viewing during the Halloween season. The story is as follows: In a post-war Spain, Narcisa arrives at a former nunnery, now a As the days go by, the strange events and increasingly disturbing situations that torment her will eventually lead her to unravel the terrible skein of secrets that surround the convent and haunt its inhabitants.Aria Bedmar (Heirs to the Land) plays Narcisa and is joined in the cast by Almudena Amor (

The Grandmother), Maru Valdivielso (The Last Boy on Earth), Luisa Merelas (

Matalobos), Chelo Vivares (Tin & Tina), Consuelo Trujillo (Adios), Pablo Guisa Koestinger (La Exorcista), Sara Roch (The Communion Girl), Olimpia Roch (The Communion Girl), Daniela Casas (Malditas), Marina Delgado (Lavapies), and newcomers Claudia Fernandez Arroyo and Adriana Camarena.Plaza directed Sister Death, which was produced by Pablo Cruz, Enrique Lopez Lavigne, and Diego Suarez Chialvo. Pablo Fernandez Maso served as executive producer.I watched Veronica five years ago and made it all the way through without having to stop it out of fear, but I have to admit that I don’t remember a single thing about the movie. So if/when I check out Sister Death

this October, I might have to rewatch Veronica as well for a refresher on what it was all about.

Did you watch Veronica, and are you looking forward to the prequel Sister Death? Leave a comment to let us know what you think.
