OPPENHEIMER…is…incredible. The word that keeps coming up is “fearsome.” The historical drama is a relentlessly paced, insanely intricate, and intricate historical drama. It builds and builds, until Nolan finally brings the hammer to bear in the most shocking, shattering manner. It’s a lengthy film, but the pace is perfect. It is hard to discuss something so dense in a silly tweet or thread, but Oppenheimer is a serious adult drama as exciting and tense as Dunkirk. The big moment, THAT MOMENT, is breathtaking.

I initially was skeptical but Oppenheimer has stayed with me ever since I saw it last week. It’s 3 hours long, but it’s done in a dense, Scorsese-style way, and the last 20 minute (why Emily Blunt took the role) brings its three narrative threads together. (1) July 11, 2023

These types of first reactions typically tend to be quite positive, but I find it hard to imagine that Christopher Nolan hasn’t knocked it out of the park yet again with July 11, 2023

Oppenheimer#Oppenheimer. I can’t believe I haven’t seen the movie yet. I wish I lived near an IMAX. The cast of a Christopher Nolan film is as impressive as one might expect. In addition to Murphy, the film also stars Emily Blunt as his wife, biologist and botanist Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., director of the Manhattan Project, and Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, a founding commissioner of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
