Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, directed by Steven Caple Jr, is about to hit home video. The film stars Anthony Ramos and Luna Lauren Velez. Dominique Fishback also appears in the film. Pete Davidson voices Mirage, a hilarious performance. The publicity team wanted to do something special for the video release, since Mirage is usually portrayed as a Porsche. In honor of this film, several journalists visited the Porsche Driving Experience at Carson, California. We drove the Porsche 911, the 718 Cayman, and spoke to the film’s director Mr. Caple Jr. and second unit director James Madigan. It was quite a rush, and that’s a massive understatement.
I’ve never driven a Porsche in my entire life. We had the opportunity to drive these two beautiful cars the moment we arrived. It’s thrilling to go from zero to sixty in a car. Yes, my stomach dropped as we reached speeds of more than 100 MPH on the course. Both cars were incredible, but I think the 911 was the most fun. To finish off the experience, we were taken for a solo drive with driving instructor Kyle who revved the engines and sped around the course at a very freaking fast speed. When I told one of my Starbucks baristas about this experience, he said that driving these cars had been on his bucket list. It was a thrill on every level. It was a thrill on every level.
