A trailer has been released for the horror film Influencer, which will be released through the Shudder streaming service this month

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers, and the supernatural, will be releasing writer/director Kurtis David Harder’s horror film Influencer on May 26th. AMC+ will also stream the movie. With just a few weeks left until its streaming debut date, a trailer has been released. You can check the trailer out in the embed above, and take a look at the Influencer poster at the bottom of this article.

Influencer racked up multiple awards while making the festival rounds. Harder and Tesh Guttikonda wrote the script, which tells the story of Madison – a social media influencer, who has a lonely trip to Thailand, despite what she claims on Instagram. She meets CW – a fearless, enigmatic traveler – who offers to show her some of the most Instagrammable locations. Together, they enjoy authentic meals and drinks while discussing the differences in Madison’s online presence compared to CW’s. After showing Madison all of the amazing sights, things take a different turn when CW brings her to a surprise location – a deserted island that is completely off the grid.

Shot on location in Thailand, the film stars Emily Tennant (Riverdale), Cassandra Naud (See), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Justin Sams (When We Rise), Paul Spurrier (King of the Wind), and Rory J. Saper (The Legend of Tarzan).

Harder and Guttikonda produced Influencer with Brandon Christensen, Jack Campbell, and Micah Henry.

What did you think of the Influencer trailer? Will you watch this movie when it hits Shudder later this week? (Or on AMC+?) I thought the movie looked interesting enough to give a try. I’ll check it out on Shudder at some point.
