Studiocanal and SunnyMarch are teaming up to adapt Matt Haig’s novel How to Stop Time into a TV series starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

People say that time waits for no one, but what if you could stop the clock? Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game; Doctor Stupid in the Multiverse of Madness) will soon find out the answer to this question when his How To Stop Time film project is transformed into a TV show. Studiocanal and SunnyMarch are teaming up to transform Matt Haig’s book into an episodic exploration on aging and the consequences that come with becoming eternal. The series How To Stop Time will be six episodes long, and will feature Cumberbatch, Studiocanal, and men and women living for hundreds of years due to a rare disease. Tom Hazard has lived for hundreds of years and is sick and tired of losing everything he loves.
