Who won the most prizes?
Well everyone, the winners for the 21st Annual Golden Schmoes
for the year 2022 are in! The winners of the 21st Annual Golden Schmoes are now known! As expected, Everything All At Once swept the board. Like Spiderman: No Way Home, it won seven awards, including “Favorite Movie”, the “Best Actress”, and “Best Director”. Top Gun Maverick took home 4 awards, but they were BIG ones. Tom Cruise’s Maverick won “Coolest Character”, and the movie also won “Best Action Scene”, the “Most Memorable Scene”, and the “Biggest Surprise”. You may be wondering why it was deemed the “Biggest Surprise”. Well, I think we all expected Top Gun:Maverick to be good, but did we think it would be an instant classic? I agree with the voters in this case. It is true that nothing has broken the record for most Golden Schmoes victories, but The Dark Knight holds this record with 12 wins. Some choices are interesting. One I was especially happy about was to see that Robert Eggers’
TheNorthman won for “Most Underrated Movie” as to me that one is a cult classic in the making. It was nice to see Mia Goth honored in the “Breakthrough performance” category. Mainstream award shows often overlook horror films. Goth was really amazing in X and Pearl. Marvel surprised me by not doing well at all this year. The film Black Pantheon: Wakanda forever won “Best Supporting Actress”, but it also received the “Most Overrated Award” while Thor Love and Thunder was given the “Biggest disappointment” award. Still, they did better than Sony’s attempt at a Marvel movie, Morbius, which, to no one’s surprise, took home the “Worst Movie” award. Let us know what you think of the winners in the comments below!Check out all of the winners for the 2022 Golden Schmoes below:
