The creator of the Dark Horse comic, Hellboy, posts on social media that a faithful adaptation of his favorite story has finished filming.

A new Hellboy is on the way courtesy of one of the mad minds behind the Crank series. Brian Taylor, half of the Taylor/Neveldine directing duo, is helming this new adaptation Hellboy The Crooked Man. Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy, confirmed on his Instagram account that the principal photography for Hellboy: The Crooked Man has wrapped.

Mignola’s post consists of an image from the comic and he writes,“So they’ve wrapped principal photography on the new HELLBOY
movie.I wasn’t on set for this one but they have been nice enough to send me dailies and I have to say I have loved what I’ve been seeing. If fans have been waiting for a Hellboy film that is actually an adaptation of one of my stories I think they are finally going to get one.Congratulations to director Brian Taylor and a really wonderful cast-And to co-writer Chris Golden who did so much to figure out how to give the studio what they wanted and still keep true to the heart and soul of

Jack Kesy, the actor who will play Hellboy in the reboot, will don the giant arm and horns this time. This would not be Kesy’s first time interacting with the comic book world. Kesy also appeared in Deadpool 2011001010, as a character called Black Tom, and had co-starred in the action movie 12 ‘Strong, with Thor himself Chris Hemsworth. Brian Taylor also adapted the Marvel Comics Ghost Rider to the big screen in 2011 with the film Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance, with Nicolas Cage reprising his role.
