The free movie we have as this week’s Friday Fright Nights feature is the supernatural horror movie Dark Entities

McLemore’s debut feature is a nice-looking film, even though the low budget throughout is evident. It could be a result of his upbringing as the son of a cinematographer and a mother that ran a photography studio. McLemore chose to make his first feature a haunted-house movie, which is a smart choice because it allows the storyline to be played out in one location. The budget had to be allocated to period-appropriate costumes and set dressing. I can understand the desire to set the story in the past. This allows
Dark Entries to live alongside classics such as The Amityville Horror and
The Shining. It also lets The Changeling, and even more recent supernatural terror films, like The Black Phone, and The Black Phone, in a sense. The ’70s and ’80s setting works really well for horror stories – and you don’t have to worry about writing around pesky modern technology like cell phones and Internet connections.Dark Entities has the following synopsis: In 1977, the Winters siblings inherit a mysterious house holding dark secrets that threaten everything they hold dear. Dark Entities has all the usual paranormal activities you’d expect to see in a haunted house movie – and there are moments that are directly reminiscent of moments from some of the movies mentioned earlier. This is not a movie to watch if your goal is to see something new. However, if you’re okay with seeing something that uses the usual tropes in a haunted house film, then it’s definitely worth catching. Check out Dark Entities
