Avenue Of The Giants, a drama from writer-director Finn Taylor, has wrapped production in California and the Czech Republic.
The film stars Stephen Lang, Elsie Fisher, Robin Weigert and Luke Blumm in the true story of Herbert Heller, who keeps his experience as a teenage boy in Auschwitz hidden from his family until he meets a teenager whose own brush with death inspires him to open up. The film is produced by Jeanine Thomas and George Rush, while Debi Memmolo and Greg Taxin are executive producers. David Minkowski, Matthew Stillman, Jennifer Goshay and Michael Manasseri are co-producing the film for Stillking Films, based in Prague, along with Jeffrey Brown, Mirka Taylor, Jeffrey Brown, and Mirka Goshay.
Producers say they are talking about a sales deal and planning a 2024 theatrical release.

The Darwin Awards, said: “The journey of this film for me began in 2018 when I had the pleasure of seeing Herbert share his story with a gym full of teens, their ubiquitous cell phones silent. It was the story of a boy who was taken to the camps when he was 12 years old, and escaped Auschwitz at 15 years old. But it also told the story of how he survived with this traumatizing secret for 60 long years. I knew at that time the enormity of the task. Herbert passed away last year, but his message of tolerance and kindness continues to live on through his actions and our film. I believe that sharing Herbert’s story of survival and the healing power he left behind is more important than ever to the world.
