Alan Ritchson reveals an alternate ending of Fast X that changes the relationship between two major characters.
MAJOR SPOILERS for Fast X. The latest installment in the Fast and Furious series is now showing in theaters. With plenty of twists and turns, Fast X sets the stage for an explosive ending to the entire series, but as with most movies, a few moments wound up on the cutting room floor.
Alan Ricthson plays Aimes, the new head of the agency that was once run by Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody. He initially wants to take down Dominic Torretto but he ends up helping him… or is that true? The ending of Fast X reveals that Aimes is a double agent working with Dante (Jason Momoa), but Ritchson told that another version of the conclusion joined Aimes and Dante by blood.“Entertainment WeeklyI don’t know if this is divulging too much, but we shot a couple different stories,
” Alan Ritchson said. “One of them was that Jason Momoa and Aimes’ character were blood brothers. They were related and their genetic link was one of the reasons they were united. The film was originally edited in two versions, but the final version is what is in the film. We learn at the very end of the film that there was a secret alliance between the two characters all along. This makes him the bad guy. I didn’t know which version was going to be shown, but I knew that the character was very duplicitous and that he would ultimately be a bad guy. We’ll see what the future holds.” Aimes will likely return for Fast X – Part 2, so perhaps the family connection could still be revealed.Related
Fast X’s director discusses re-grounding, “What could I have done?” “Time travel?”
I hope.
Ritchson continued: “There has been a lot conversation. I’m ready to play the bad guy, and to put the gas on the floor. You can decide if he’s bad or not, but, yeah, I’m ready. You can decide whether he is bad or not but, yes, I am ready.
