While speaking with Kevin Hart on Peacock’s Hart to Heart, Dwayne Johnson explained why the Black Adam franchise was over before it really had a chance.

I think that Black Adam got caught in a vortex of new leadership,” Johnson said. “At that time, while we were creating Black Adam and developing it, we shot Black Adam. We got knocked a little down because of Covid, but we got back up. There were many changes in the leadership. Dwayne jones spoke of meeting James Gunn in late last year, and even hinted at the possibility that he might still have a role to play in DC Universe. “My dear friends, I am pleased to provide you with a long-awaited Black Adam Update regarding the character’s Future in the New DC Universe.“, Johnson wrote in a statement. “James and I connected and Black Adam won’t be in their first chapter.
