Louisa Warren is set to produce and direct horror takes on children’s story classics with Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre

Producers/directors Louisa Warren and Scott Jeffrey have worked together multiple times, crafting films about creepy mermaids, scarecrows, and dolls. They’ve made several horror Tooth Fairy films. Jeffrey is currently working with Rhys Frake Waterfield on a new series of films, which will put a horror spin on public domain stories such as Peter Pan, Bambi and Winnie the Pooh. It started with Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey. While they work on that, Warren has announced (via our friends at Bloody Disgusting) that she has two fractured fairy tale horror movies in the works: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre!

Coming our way from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse is expected to begin filming in the UK this month. ITN Studios has already planned to release it in October 2023. Warren will produce and direct the film, working off a script written by Harry Boxley. Warren told Bloody Disgusting: “This is an incredibly unique twist on the Cinderella that we all know and love. I think the gore hounds are in for a treat with my dark retelling.“Cinderella’s Curse

The beautiful princess Thalia is thrown into ruins after the mysterious death of her father. She lives with Prince Edison, who she loves but cannot marry due to her loss of status. Queen Velma is determined to seize the kingdom and will use dark powers and occult practices to do so. Velma will use gory and graphic deaths to create violent twists after twists. .Lora Hristova, Lila Lasso, Leah Glater, Robbie Taylor, Sophie Rankin, Charlotte Coleman, and Judy Tcherniak are set to star.Warren had this to say about Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre: “This film will flip everything as you know it on its head.
