, which is set to reach theatres on July 7th. Check it out in the embedded video above. As you may have gathered from other recent articles here on JoBlo, our own Chris Bumbray is currently attending CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners, in Las Vegas – and during the Sony presentation, he and other attendees had the chance to watch an extended trailer for Insidious: The Red Door.

Bumbray reports that the extended trailer “sets up the premise of the movie. The film seems to revolve around Dalton from the original. He is now haunted and the Further. It actually looks pretty terrifying, but we didn’t see much more than the trailer that came out last week.” So the good news is that there’s another trailer for Insidious: The Red Door, but the disappointing news is that if/when we see it, we shouldn’t expect to see much more than what we’ve already seen.Insidious: The Red Door marks the feature directorial debut of Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2 star Patrick Wilson. The screenplay, written by

Halloween Kils writer Scott Teems based on a concept from Leigh Whannell who created the franchise along with James Wan, was written by Scott Teems. The story follows the Lambert family, who were in the first two films. It is set ten years after Insidious 2010 ended. Josh Lambert drives east to drop off his son Dalton at a picturesque, ivy covered university. Wilson reprises the role of Josh Lambert. Rose Byrne returns as his wife Renai. Ty Simpkins plays their son Dalton. Andrew Astor plays their son Foster. Also in the cast are Sinclair Daniel (Madam Secretary), Peter Dager (Demente Criminal), and Hiam Abbass (

Blade Runner 2049).

Insidious: The Red Door is coming to us from Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films. Jason Blum, James Wan, Leigh Whannell and Oren Peli are producing the film under Blumhouse. Steven Schneider, Ryan Turek, and Brian Kavanaugh Jones serve as executive producers. When Insidious: The Red Door was first announced, Wilson said, “I’m honored and thrilled to be at the helm of the next Insidious

installment, which will provide an amazing chance to unpack everything the Lamberts went through a decade ago, as well as deal with the consequences of their choices. It is a professional and personal full circle moment for Wilson to direct the movie. I am grateful to have been entrusted with continuing to tell this terrifying and haunting tale. Into the further we go…Were you hoping to see more in an extended trailer for

Insidious: The Red Door,01001010 or have you already seen enough from last week’s trailer? Are you excited for this movie or will you skip it? Leave a comment to let us know.
