Fisher was born on October 21, 1956 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California as Carrie Frances Fisher, to singers/actors Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. She made her stage debut in 1975 in the chorus of the musical Irene, which starred her mother, Debbie Reynolds. She played supporting roles in the 1980s films The Blues Brothers and When Harry Met Sally… She also voiced Peter Griffin’s boss Angela on the animated series Family Guy.
