With the Indiana Jones franchise coming to a close, what similar movies can you check out that offer the same kind of thrills?
Last weekend, we saw the end of the Indiana Jones franchise as Harrison Ford has stated that The Dial Of Destiny is the last time he’ll don the fedora and whip. It will be the end of the franchise unless Disney decides they want to squeeze as much out of it as possible. This is not out of the question. We’ll see Indy one last time when the film hits the screens. Film fans always need something else to fill in their viewing void, so what are the best movies like Indiana Jones?
T his is oddly a full-circle film when it comes to Indiana Jones. Uncharted is based on the video game of the same name, which was admittedly based on the Indiana Jones films. Nathan Drake (played Tom Holland) teams with Mark Wahlberg, a treasure hunter who has a lot of experience to find a treasure that is rumored worth $5 billion. Santiago Moncada, played by Antonio Banderas, also wants the treasure because he believes it belongs to his own family. This globe-trotting action adventure is filled with intrigue and action. There are jungles, puzzles, and a lost treasure. Romance writer Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), has written about an unfound city and a treasure. Daniel Radcliffe, a billionaire, believes she may hold the key to finding a lost treasure. He kidnaps her and forces her to lead him there. Channing Tatum, the cover model of all her books, goes after her in order to prove that he is more than a pretty face. The Cannon film was created to ride on the coattails the Indiana Jones film. But, of course, the Cannon way cost less to produce. Richard Chamberlain plays fortune hunter Allan Quatermain, who is hired by Sharon Stone to find her father. He went to search for the legendary diamond mines that King Solomon had. She fears he’s been captured and she needs to rescue him. The two head to South Africa, where they quickly come up against Dogati’s rival Quatermain, played by actor John Rhys-Davies. The race is on for the lost adventurer to be found and to determine if King Solomon’s Mines are real. It’s a rip off, but it still works. Avoid the sequel,
Alan Quatermain & the Lost City of Gold, like the plague. Dirk Pitt, a former Navy Seal (Matthew McConaughey), and his sidekick Al are searching for a legendary Civil War battleship. It was rumored that the ship had crossed the Atlantic to enter the Niger River, in Africa. While searching, the team encounters an evil warlord who has kidnapped WHO Scientist Eva Rojas. She warns that the warlord will soon release a toxic spill that could cause a global disaster. This wasn’t Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt’s first adaptation. This video game adaptation was also inspired by the Indiana Joss
films. This version is more closely related to the Indiana-Jones mythos compared to other versions made in the early 2000s. Lara Croft’s life has been a mess since her father disappeared on an adventure many years ago. No one but Lara Croft seems to believe that her father is still alive. She sets out to solve the mystery surrounding his disappearance and find him. His last known location was a mythical Japanese island. She discovers that she is in for more than she bargained and is captured by the corporation who want to find the tomb her dad was searching for. She must fight back in order to stop them.The true successor to the Indiana Jones series begins here. Brendan Fraser plays Rick O’Connell who helps a young archeologist. She wants to begin a dig in an ancient city, but someone beats her to it. The group accidentally released a cursed priest. He has now returned to Egypt and wants to unleash a number of plagues as retribution for his death. Rick must stop him and send the man back to his grave. The series is fun and brings back some great adventures, along with some bad CGI. Even with the sketchy special effects, it’s still one of the best movies like Indiana Jones

It has been divided into three pieces and hidden all over the world. It is his job to find these pieces before anyone else does and return them to library. The pieces could be put back together to create a deadly weapon that can destroy anything pointed at. He kidnaps Tintin, and sets sail aboard a cargo vessel. Tintin, his dog Snowy, and the captain of the ship Haddock escape with their model. He learns that it contains one of the three pieces of the puzzle that will reveal the location of the hidden treasure. The third piece is missing, and Tintin must find it to prevent anyone else from finding it. She was kidnapped and they want her in exchange for the map. She must travel to Columbia in order to complete the trade. She meets Jack Colton, an adventurer (Michael Douglas) who agrees to accompany her through the dangerous jungle. The kidnappers are searching for a large green emerald. They are trying to save her sister and also find the jewel. This and its sequel, The Jewel of the Nile, are among the best movies like Indiana Jones.Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage) has been a treasure hunter his whole life. He believes the founding fathers of the United States hid a large amount of valuables, and left clues as to where it could be found. He is determined to prove that his theory is wrong. He is finally putting together the clues and will do whatever it takes to find this treasure. Even stealing the Declaration Of Independence. Gates takes a fun trip through U.S. History as he tracks down the clues that the founding fathers left to find the ultimate prize. He’s not the only hunter, as a rival is right behind him.
