The film will be released in US cinemas next month
Final Cut, the French remake of One Cut of the Dead. The film reaches US theatres next monthhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImPJItdaiDMAbout three weeks ago, we saw a teaser trailer for Final Cut, the French remake of writer/director Shin’ichiro Ueda’s highly acclaimed Japanese zombie comedy One Cut of the Dead.
Final Cut will be receiving a U.S. theatrical release (courtesy of Kino Lorber) on July 14th, so now a full trailer for the film has arrived online – and you can watch it in the embed above!Known as Coupez! in its home country, this remake of One Cut of the Dead was written and directed by Michel Hazanavicius, the Oscar-winning director of the Best Picture-winning silent film The Artist
. Hazanavicius was also nominated for Best Screenplay for the film. The cast includes Romain Duris as the director, who is the only one with the energy and passion to keep a low-budget zombie movie afloat. As he tries to gee up jaded technicians and uninterested actors, shooting is disturbed by the arrival of authentic undead.Hazanavicius has said that he is “absolutely delighted that Final Cut is being released in the U.S., and so proud to be working with Kino Lorber. I’ve always loved American audiences because they are so happy to laugh. So, enjoy the show, guys!

is produced by La Classe Americaine, Getaway Films, SK Global Entertainment, and BlueLight. France 2 Cinema co-produces. The film also receives support from Canal+, France Televisions (SOFITVCINE 9), Cine+, and France Televisions. Wild Bunch International handles distribution in France as well as international sales. Enbu Seminar, Hairu Entertainment and Gaga are the Japanese companies that serve as executive producers and distributors on the project. Ghost In The Box is based on Ryoichi wada’s play. Shot on a budget of just $25,000, Ueda’s film earned more than 30 million dollars at the global box office, and was featured on a memorable episode of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs.Final Cut
made its world premiere as the opening night film at the Cannes Film Festival in May of 2022, then received a theatrical release in France in June.
