Mortal Kombat 2 director Simon McQuoid has cast actors in the roles of Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, Queen Sindel, and Jerrod
Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid is returning to the helm for the sequel that we’ll refer to as Mortal Kombat 2 until someone tells us otherwise. McQuoid’s cast has been steadily growing over the past month and a quarter. The Boys star Karl Urban has been cast to play Johnny Cage; Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is set to play Princess Kitana; and Tati Gabrielle (You) is taking on the role of Jade, the friend and bodyguard of Princess Kitana. Deadline reports four new actors have been cast in the roles of Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn and his wife Queen Sindel. Also, Netherrealm Demon Quan Chi has joined the cast. Jerrod was the King of Edenia, married to Sindel until Edenia lost the Mortal Kom Martyn Ford, a bodybuilder/actor who has appeared in F9: The Fast Saga
, will play Shao Kahn. Queen Sindel will be played by Ana Thu Nguyen (Suka). Desmond Chiam (Joy Ride) will play Jerrod. And Jerrod will be played by Desmond Chiam (Joy Ride).Cast members returning from the previous Mortal Kombat

has been written by Jeremy Slater, who was the lead writer on the Marvel / Disney+ series Moon Knight.
